Solubility: slightly soluble in water, its aqueous solution is acidic, insoluble in ether and benzene. It is decomposed into urea and hyposulfuric acid in a slightly alkaline solution. The solubility in water is 26.7 g/l (20 ° C) and the PH of the saturated water solution is 5.0.
