Abstract

Thiourea has complex properties, weak alkalinity and reducibility, and is widely used in many fields

Thiourea has complex properties, weak alkalinity and reducibility, and is widely used in many fields:

Chemical synthesis: As an organic intermediate, it can be used to synthesize various chemical products, such as methyl thiourea, diethyl thiourea and other thiourea derivatives.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing: It can be used as a raw material for intravenous anesthesia drugs, anti-hyperthyroidism drugs and anti-tuberculosis drugs.
Agriculture: It can be used in the manufacture of chemical fertilizers (nitrogen fertilizer synergists), fungicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators.
Synthetic rubber: used as a rubber vulcanization accelerator.
Mineral processing: Manufacture of metal mineral flotation agents, used to refine gold and other precious metals.
Photographic industry: used as a developer, toner or stabilizer for fixing emulsions.
Electroplating industry: As an electroplating additive, it can refine the crystalline structure of the coating to achieve the purpose of leveling, bright and fine coating.
In addition, thiourea is also used in the preparation of epoxy resin fast curing agent, synthetic resin coating, anion exchange resin, and as an analytical agent for the determination of bismuth, osmium, rhodium, selenium, lead, tellurium, nitrite, etc.
